Politician stock trades: what Congress actually disclosed

House Clerk PTR filings · Senate eFD filings · per ticker · disclosure lag stated plainly

STOCK Act disclosures, up to 45 days delayed

Every row below comes from the two official STOCK Act feeds: House Clerk periodic transaction reports and Senate eFD filings. Members of Congress have up to 45 days after a trade to disclose it, so what you see here is the public record of what was disclosed and when, never a live feed of what anyone is trading today.

The STOCK Act lets a member wait the longer of 30 days after learning of a transaction or 45 days after the transaction date before filing a periodic transaction report. Amounts are the filing's own range bands (for example $15,001 - $50,000), never exact values, and no official source publishes party affiliation or a per-trade notification date on every filing, so we do not show them. This is the same delayed, range-banded record every politician trades tracker runs on: there is no faster official feed. Newest disclosure in these packs: Oct 21, 2026.

Recently disclosed trades

The most recent disclosures across both chambers, from our committed weekly packs. Each row links to the ticker's research page, where the disclosed activity sits beside short interest, options flow and insider filings.

What we show, and what we refuse to show

We show

  • Every cleanly parsed stock transaction from House Clerk PTR PDFs and Senate eFD filings, frozen into weekly packs with the transaction date, the disclosure date, the amount band and a link to the source filing
  • Disclosed politician activity on the per-ticker research pages, next to the squeeze, short interest, options and insider data we already publish for that ticker
  • Skipped rows, not guessed rows: filings that are scanned paper with no text layer, or rows we cannot parse cleanly, are counted and left out instead of approximated

We refuse

  • No real-time claims. Nothing here is live; by the time a disclosure is public, the trade is up to 45 days old
  • No copy-the-portfolio promises. The disclosed record is delayed and range-banded, and the academic evidence on post-disclosure returns is mixed
  • No per-politician pages or leaderboards. This is a per-ticker research surface, not a personality product

How stale is this data, exactly

The STOCK Act lets a member wait the longer of 30 days after learning of a transaction or 45 days after the transaction date before filing a periodic transaction report. Amounts are the filing's own range bands (for example $15,001 - $50,000), never exact values, and no official source publishes party affiliation or a per-trade notification date on every filing, so we do not show them. This is the same delayed, range-banded record every politician trades tracker runs on: there is no faster official feed.

Pair it with

Where do politician stock trade disclosures come from?

Two official feeds. House members file periodic transaction reports with the Clerk of the House, published as PDFs on disclosures-clerk.house.gov. Senators file with the Senate eFD system at efdsearch.senate.gov. Both are free and public, and every commercial tracker reads the same two sources.

How current are the trades on this page?

The STOCK Act allows a filing to lag the trade by up to 45 days, so a row here can describe a trade well over a month old. Each row carries its own transaction date and disclosure date so you can see the lag yourself. Nothing on this page is a real-time feed.

Why are amounts shown as ranges?

Because that is exactly what the filings state. A periodic transaction report discloses a band such as $1,001 - $15,000 or $500,001 - $1,000,000, never an exact value, and no official source publishes exact trade sizes.

Do politician trades beat the market?

The honest answer is mixed. Academic studies of congressional trading find abnormal returns that shrink after the STOCK Act, and post-disclosure drift is contested across studies. The disclosure lag eats most of whatever edge exists. We present the record and leave the narrative out.

Do you show trades for every ticker?

We capture every cleanly parsed stock transaction in the filings, but a ticker with no disclosed activity simply has no data, and the research card on its page stays absent. Absence is honest here; we never show a zero where no disclosure exists.
