What Tapeboard is
Tapeboard is a research terminal and a paper-trading simulator. The scanner ranks what is moving with 44 presets, charts carry 134 indicators, and every mover links to its filings and news. The simulator fills practice orders against live market data and logs each trade to your journal, and you can import real trades from your broker to review them next to paper ones.
Tapeboard is not a brokerage and does not place live orders. Nothing on the site is investment advice. See the disclaimer and disclosures.
What is free
The free plan is permanent and needs no card. Every new account also starts with 7 days of Pro. Free accounts see 15-minute delayed quotes and scanner data; Pro adds real-time data, the full set of scanner presets and indicators, the Level 2 order book and unlimited alerts. The full comparison is on the pricing page.
How we handle data
Every live number on the site carries a freshness label: delayed, live or end of day. How each dataset is built, and what it can and cannot tell you, is written down on the data sources and methodology pages.
Editorial standards
Methodology pages, glossary entries and market recaps are edited by Marcus Reilly. If you find a mistake, tell us and it goes in the public corrections log.
