Overview
Tapeboard publishes a set of read-only data endpoints that need no account and no key. They return JSON over HTTPS from https://tapeboard.com and are meant for scripts, dashboards and AI agents that want data without scraping pages. Quotes and scanner data follow the same 15-minute delay as the free plan.
Action manifest
Every endpoint below is declared in a machine-readable manifest at /mcp-actions.json. Each entry lists the action id, method, path, parameters, whether it needs authentication and the shape of the response, so an agent or an MCP-style tool can discover the endpoints without reading this page. Tapeboard does not run a hosted MCP server; the manifest describes plain HTTP actions you can call directly.

Path parameters are written in braces, for example {ticker}. The manifest lists every query parameter and its allowed values.
Actions that write
A few actions change data: adding a ticker to a watchlist, setting a price alert, saving a note on a filing and creating an account. They need a signed-in session or a guest token, and the manifest marks which one each action accepts.
Fair use
- Public endpoints are rate limited. If you receive a 429 response, wait and retry with a longer gap.
- Cache responses on your side instead of polling faster than you need.
- When you show Tapeboard data to other people, link back to the page you used.
- Data is for information only and is not investment advice. See the disclaimer.
