Most Shorted Stocks Today
Live ranking of the most shorted US equities by short interest as a percentage of float. Data is refreshed daily after FINRA short-interest settlement. The full ranked table loads below for any guest — no account required.
How short interest is measured
Short interest is the number of shares sold short and not yet covered. We rank by short interest as a percentage of a stock's float — the higher the percentage, the more of the tradeable float is held by short sellers. FINRA publishes short-interest twice monthly (settlement on the 15th and end of month); our table refreshes the day after settlement.
A high short interest percentage signals crowding, but is not a directional signal. See the methodology page for how short interest feeds our squeeze score (and why borrow fee + float utilization matter alongside it).
