SEC Filings is Tapeboard's EDGAR surface — search any ticker for its 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1, DEF 14A, 13-F, and Form 3/4 history, with AI summaries on Pro+, full-text search on Terminal, and a live cross-market filings feed when no symbol is loaded.

SEC Filings is the EDGAR window. Search any US-listed ticker for its filing history — 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, DEF 14A, S-1, 13-F, Form 3, Form 4 — or scan the cross-market Latest SEC Filings feed when no symbol is loaded. Major filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K/S-1) stack at the top; insider Form 3/4s collapse into their own section. AI summaries unlock at Pro; full-text search unlocks at Terminal.

The filings feed — newest regulatory filings with type filters and AI summaries

What it is

A window onto SEC EDGAR. Filings come directly from official SEC submissions, and tickers are resolved to their SEC company record automatically. The cross-market feed at /filings (no ticker loaded) pulls the last three days of 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings. Per-ticker results pull the company's last 80 filings; for free users the visible list caps at 10. A second route — /filings/today — currently redirects back to /filings (the per-day "most-interesting filing" view was never shipped, so the redirect keeps digest links landing somewhere useful).

When to use it

Before any trade in a name that just printed a catalyst. An 8-K hit the tape? Open it. Earnings call landed? Pull the 10-Q. A 13-D crossed the threshold? Read the filer. For longer-form research, the 10-K is where the moat lives — the AI summary surfaces the risk factors, segment economics, and the things buried in 200 pages of MD&A.

How to use it

Open /filings. With no ticker loaded, the page shows the Latest SEC Filings cross-market feed — 10-K/10-Q/8-K filings from the last three days, paginated 20 at a time via Load More.
Enter a ticker in the search box and hit Search (or Enter). The page resolves the ticker to its SEC company record, then pulls the filings.
The company header strip shows entity name, CIK, SIC, and fiscal year end, with deep links to SEC.gov and the Tapeboard stock page.
Below the header: a filing timeline, the earnings call transcript widget, the full-text search box (Terminal only), and on Pro a bulk-summary panel for AI-summarising a stack of filings at once.
Filter the list with the type pills — All, 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, DEF 14A, S-1, 13-F, Form 3, Form 4. Selecting a pill scopes both the major-filings table and the insider table.
Major filings (10-K/10-Q/8-K/S-1/DEF 14A/13-F) render in the top table; insider filings (Form 3 and Form 4) collapse below — click the row header to expand.
Click any row to open the filing on SEC.gov in a new tab. Click the AI button (Pro+) to open a slide-out AI summary of the filing. On mobile, the row's … button opens a bottom sheet with the same two actions.
The last-searched ticker persists in localStorage — next visit auto-loads that company.

Limits

Free tier: capped at the last 10 filings per ticker; upgrade prompt shows below the type-pill row when more are available
Cross-market Latest SEC Filings feed: last 3 days, capped at 30 rows, paginated 20 at a time client-side
AI filing summaries count against your AI quota — 20/day on Pro, unlimited on Terminal
Full-text search inside a ticker view: Terminal-only
Per-ticker view shows the last 80 filings — old issuers have deeper history, but the view is capped at 80
/filings/today route: redirects to /filings — the per-day curated drill-down is not currently shipped
Filings update throughout the day; new filings typically surface within minutes of being posted to SEC
Foreign issuers: 20-F (annual) and 6-K (interim) are not in the form-pill list — All is the only way to surface them
Earnings call transcripts (inline widget): coverage is mostly US-listed mid/large caps

Troubleshooting

No company found for ticker "XXX". The ticker isn't in SEC's company list. Most often: ADR ticker variant (try the underlying), delisted symbol, or pre-IPO. The SEC.gov link in the header lets you search by company name directly.

Latest SEC Filings feed empty on a weekend. Expected — EDGAR doesn't ingest on weekends. The feed pulls the last three days; on a Sunday morning that's Thursday + Friday filings only. Refresh after Monday's open for fresh rows.

AI button greyed out. You're on Free. The AI button shows but doesn't open the summary for free users. Upgrade to Pro for AI filing summaries.

Insider filings section says (0) but I know the CEO just filed Form 4. The form-type filter is active — clear it back to All to see insider rows. If still empty, the per-ticker query may have truncated at 80 entries before reaching the most recent Form 4; check /insider?symbol=<TICKER> for the dedicated insider view.

Filing description is truncated and I can't read it. Hover the description cell for the full text via the title attribute, or click through to open the filing on SEC.gov.

/filings/today shows the same page as /filings. By design — the curated "filing of the day" surface was never finished. The redirect preserves querystring (e.g. ?source=digest) so attribution still works once the page ships.
