Switch from Tradervue in 5 Minutes
Move your full trading history from Tradervue to Tapeboard with one CSV — your notes, tags, and setups come with it. Export from Tradervue, import into the Tapeboard journal, and keep every annotation you have written.
Switching journals usually means abandoning years of written context — the notes, tags, and setup labels that make a trade log worth keeping. Tapeboard imports your Tradervue CSV export with all of that intact, so the migration costs you nothing but five minutes.
Export from Tradervue
- In Tradervue, open Trades.
- Use the export option to download your trades as CSV.
- Make sure your visible columns include Notes and Tags (Tradervue's CSV exports the columns shown in your Trades view) — those are what Tapeboard preserves. In Tradervue your setups are stored as tags, so they come across in the Tags column.
Import into Tapeboard
- Open the Journal in Tapeboard and click
[ IMPORT_CSV ]. - Select your Tradervue export. Tapeboard recognizes the Tradervue layout automatically (the
Notes+Setupcolumns are the giveaway). - Your trades land in the log with notes, tags, and setups preserved verbatim.
What carries over
- Notes — your full written commentary, per trade, exactly as written.
- Tags — split and preserved as Tapeboard tags for filtering and tag-level stats. Your Tradervue setups live here too (Tradervue stores setups as tags), so they carry over.
- Prices, shares, direction, and commissions — entry/exit price, volume, and commissions map straight across; long vs. short is read from the
Sidecolumn.
What's different
- Tradervue exports are trade-level (one row per completed trade), so individual fill-level executions aren't included — the trade detail panel shows the round-trip, not each partial fill.
- Once imported, the full Tapeboard analytics suite applies: risk-adjusted stats (Sharpe, Sortino, Omega, SQN), Exit Efficiency, MFE/MAE, R-multiple, per-setup performance, and per-trade charts.
