Crypto Terminal

Crypto Terminal streams ten default USDT pairs with a live order book, depth chart, trades feed, candle chart, plus trending coins, fear & greed, global market stats, and public-company BTC/ETH treasury holdings.

The Crypto Terminal runs ten USDT pairs by default — BTC, ETH, SOL, BNB, XRP, ADA, DOGE, AVAX, LINK, MATIC — with a live order book, depth chart, trades feed, and candle chart for the selected pair. Market data (top 50 by market cap, sparklines, global stats, trending) and the candle chart refresh continuously. The order book and time & sales stream update live in real time. Add custom pairs (Terminal tier) to extend beyond the default set.

What it is

Two data planes. The market overview, trending coins, Fear & Greed gauge, global stats, and company-holdings panels refresh continuously throughout the session. The order book, trades, and live price stream update in real time. The candle chart updates in real time as well. The order book ladder and depth chart update smoothly several times a second.

When to use it

Watch BTC dominance vs. spot price together — rising dominance with falling alt prices is the classic "alts bleeding to BTC" signal. Use the depth chart to size into / out of a thin alt without slipping the book — depth thinner than your size means you'll move the market. Cross-check Fear & Greed against your gut — extreme fear (< 20) historically marks local bottoms; extreme greed (> 80) marks tops. The public-company holdings panel is the macro tell — when MicroStrategy / Tesla / Block treasury balances change, it's a flow event.

Open it

  • Path: /crypto
  • Shortcut: none — accessible from the §MARKETS group in the sidebar
  • Tier-gate: Free sees the first ten default pairs filtered to a curated subset (BTC, ETH, SOL prefixes), candle chart, trending, fear-greed, market overview; Pro unlocks the order book ladder and depth chart; Terminal adds the trades feed and custom pair input

How to use it

  1. Open /crypto. BTC/USDT loads selected by default with the order book tab active.
  2. Pick a different pair from the tab strip across the top — the live stream re-subscribes and the chart, order book, depth, and trades feed all switch. Pair switches throttle automatically; rapid clicking won't flood the feed.
  3. The Price Header beneath the tabs shows live spot, 24h change, market cap, 24h volume, and supply data. The live price ticker is driven by the trade stream.
  4. Read the Order Book — bids in green, asks in red, sized by cumulative quantity. Spread is the difference between best bid and best ask; wide spreads mean thin liquidity.
  5. Switch to the Trades tab (Terminal) to watch prints fly past — buys (taker-buy) in green, sells (taker-sell) in red. Useful for spotting accumulation / distribution patterns in real time.
  6. The Depth Chart (Pro+) below the grid plots cumulative bid / ask quantity across price levels — a visual of where the walls are.
  7. Use Trending Coins (right column) as a sentiment scan — these are the names spiking in search activity in the last 24h, not necessarily price.
  8. Global Crypto Stats (top of grid) shows total market cap, 24h volume, BTC dominance, ETH dominance, market cap change %. Watch dominance shifts for rotation signals.
  9. To add a custom pair (Terminal), click + Custom, type the symbol (e.g. DOT/USDT or just DOT), Enter. The pair persists for that browser.

Fear & Greed

A composite sentiment index — volatility, market momentum, social media, dominance, search trends, and survey data. 0 = extreme fear, 100 = extreme greed. 30-day history rendered in the gauge sparkline.

Limits

  • The order book and trades feed stream live to your browser. If your network blocks streaming connections, the order book stays empty (the candle chart still updates).
  • Market overview data refreshes continuously — global stats and the top-50 coin list update on a short cadence, trending coins a little less often.
  • The candle chart updates in real time — occasionally a freshly trending coin isn't yet covered for charting, in which case the chart returns empty for that pair.
  • The order book shows the top 20 price levels on each side, updating in real time. Deeper levels beyond the top 20 are not surfaced.
  • The depth chart and order book redraw smoothly several times a second. Sub-second microstructure is intentionally smoothed.
  • The 24h volume / market cap fields are aggregates across all listed exchanges, not a single venue, so they won't match any one exchange's volume.
  • Custom pairs (Terminal) must be actively traded USDT pairs; a symbol that isn't widely listed may return an empty stream.

Troubleshooting

Order book is empty even on BTC/USDT. Your browser couldn't open the live stream. Causes: a corporate firewall blocking streaming connections; a VPN routing through a restricted region; a privacy extension or shield blocking the connection. The candle chart will still render.

Price ticker shows but order book is populating. The trade stream hasn't fired yet — happens on illiquid alts when no print has crossed since you subscribed. Order book updates faster than trades on quiet names.

Custom pair I added doesn't update. The pair isn't a widely-traded USDT pair. Try the common spelling — most USDT pairs work; thinly-listed alts often don't. You can also try renaming to BASE/USD instead of BASE/USDT.

Market overview is stale. The market overview is intentionally not tick-by-tick — it's the canonical 24h aggregate, refreshed on a short cadence. For sub-minute moves, watch the order book and trades feed.

Global stats show 0 for everything. The market overview briefly failed to load — refresh after a minute.
