News
News is Tapeboard's deduplicated live feed from major wires and market sources — with sector filters, per-ticker drill, and the Pro sector/heatmap strip. Breaking headlines also fire desktop pushes for opted-in users.
The Tapeboard news feed is a deduplicated pull across major market sources — the wires that move prices first (WSJ, Bloomberg, FinViz-tier market press, Finnhub's market feed, Benzinga through Alpaca) — with every headline tied back to tickers so the same story doesn't surface twice and listicle spam stays out.

What it does
- One feed, deduped. Same story from two wires = one row. Click-through goes to the original source.
- Per-ticker view. Every headline that names a tradable symbol opens a ticker drill-down on click; per-symbol news lives natively on that ticker's /stock page too.
- Breaking-headline pushes. Opted-in users get a device push when a real catalyst lands on a symbol they watch (respect for your Settings → Notifications quiet hours + halts still punch through).
- Sector strip + news heatmap sit on the right rail for Pro, so you can read "AI capex day, transports weak" without leaving the feed.
When to use it
Skip Twitter/X when a candle wicks weird. Open /news; if it moved on headlines, they're there top of list, date DEFAULTed most recent first. If you're looking for a specific company's catalysts, use its /stock page instead — that view's filtered already.
Where it lives
- Route:
/news, any signed-in user. Free view never expires. - Pro extras: right-rail sector performance + news heatmap, plus the AI brief nightly in digest (Settings → Notifications).
